Hello and Welcome!
This blog is dedicated to help you decide and implement a blog that will work for you!
There are many forms of blogs on the Internet today! They range from free, ready-made and custom. The primary determining factor of your particular blog is what purpose does it serve for you.
For example this blog’s primary function is to provide tips, information and news on blogging! A blog on blogging is a topic in itself and doing it right can make a world of difference in your on-line presence.
This is just one of many blog’s that site administration is implementing for information!
The best way to decide on a blog for yourself is to implement something that is very relevant to your life! That way you will be able to create the necessary information for your blog as part of your routine without much work! Nobody really wants to work hard at something, so it just makes sense that if you select a blog topic that you are passionate about then hopefully, writing about your passion will work a little easier for you.
If you are a business person, then blog about your business.
People who are following your business can then just check your blog to keep up with the current information on your business!
Additionally in business, it is necessary to create sales, so another great way to use your blog is to write about the benefits of your products or services. Potential customers gain insight as to why they should consider purchasing a service or product from you through your business rather than another vendor!
If you can write down information to create a flyer or brochure for your business, then you should be able to do the same thing for a business blog! Organize the information, capture a few pics, write a few details. Stick with only two pages front and back on one piece of paper. This forces you to use only the specific topics you need to convey your primary message. Detail is important but too much detail can clutter the primary message about your business! Keep it simple and objective and be sure save the subjective detail! If you have never done this before, start by writing everything you can down about your business, then review it later as if you are a customer considering a product or service from a business. As you read through what you wrote, try to organize the information in a fashion that makes sense from beginning to end! Brainstorming is one one thing and conveying a message is another thing altogether. Just keep it simple and on two pages to start! You can always fill in (more subjective) details later!
A personal blog is great way to communicate with family, old and new friends!
Of course most people don’t want to reveal a lot of personal information in a public blog! But having a personal blog allows old and new friends and family to keep up with each other and sets up a condition where new friends can discover you! Just as in life, people talk, so can it be in a personal blog. Just keep in mind no one is really interested in dirty laundry or negative attitudes when it comes to family and friends.
Please note that if you are considering a blog of this nature…and are just starting out….I would advise you to first grab a cheap notebook and start writing things down….first…..just as if you are publishing to your blog on a regular basis. After you finish writing what you think should be in your personal blog, put it away for couple of days and forget about it. After a few days, sit down and read everything, just as if you didn’t write it. Try to use an objective point of view….just as if you know nothing about what are about to read right now! It is very easy to get caught up in what you have to say for the moment versus what you really meant to say or have someone understand overall.
It is important to understand that there is a clear difference between subjective writing and objective writing. What you write today to convey a meaning should convey the same meaning a few days later. In order to recognize that in your writing, you would need to dis-associate or disconnect yourself from your own personal subjective point of view. That way when you sit down and read what you wrote a few days ago, you can hopefully ask yourself if what you wrote about makes sense to a stranger, friend or family! To clarify this type of issue a little more, think about the times when you spoke to someone about something and then after reflecting on what you said, you decided to talk to them a little more about what you meant when you said those things. The clearer you are in meaning today, the clearer it will be tomorrow. Also keep in mind that not everyone has the capability to write….so if find yourself caught up in this scenario….then you might consider asking a friend or family associate to review what you have written, before you get into trouble publishing your views as public information!
Luckily this type of blog (Wordpress) does have a feature to allow you to create drafts. Drafts are not published.A friend or family member can review a draft for clarity and spelling before you ever publicly publish one word.
This type of blog also allows you to create private pages and posts, so someone would need to enter a password to access the file! That would keep private information from appearing publicly.
Also this type of blog (Wordpress) allows you to post information by just emailing a post to the blog! So in essence anyone can send in information via email and they don’t even need to be an author in the system. Once the mail function for the system runs, either automatically or manually, submitted posts are published immediately to the blog. This means if you wrote and emailed 15 things last night to your blog and your blog automatically runs a receive mail function once every day, the what you sent will be published automatically. If you are using a manual mail function(which is a preferred method) then you should be aware that any time the mail function is manually run, all submitted posts are published. This is important to remember since you may find that at times the mail function may have been triggered by a stray bot or person and all your submitted posts are now visible as public information until you reset them as drafts or private information.
Besides using a blog for business or personal reasons, you may also decide to monetize your blog by adding specific product and service links and advertisements from various retailers and information resources.
This type of blog (considered more a business or personal niche blog) is a great way to build an online presence either personally or professionally. Just keep in mind that some advertisers (such as Google(TM)) do not take kindly to having ads placed on front pages that are circulated via exchanges or any direct marketing avenue. Those types of ad pages can be one page click away from a page used to heavily market something, just not on the page directly. Just be sure to check the terms and policies concerning the types of advertising you decide to use!
Look under links (or blogroll) for a link to information and news articles on blogging contained in another blog maintained by this sites administrator.
This blog will eventually contain that particular news feed as well as others and relevant posts. Information is being migrated to this blog because the former blog (available through the link) will be removed as this blog is populated with information. This is all happening because the other blog is on a different server and it contains much more information, which is harder to manage for specific information purposes.
To keep things simple, just bookmark this blog and visit whenever you need to…..the link to the former blog will be removed when this blog is updated with new information. Note that the linked blog no longer automatically updates, since Admin is reviewing the collected information to be included at this site!
Happy Blogging!
